A Legacy of Innovation: ETI Announces the Passing of Founder François Bayzelon

May 2025 - With heavy hearts, we share the news that François Bayzelon, the visionary founder of ETI Converting Equipment and a true pioneer in the label industry, has left us.

            A Visionary Career

François's remarkable journey began in 1975 when he arrived in Canada with determination and dreams. By 1980, he had established Mécanabec/Aquaflex, quickly earning industry-wide respect for exceptional flexographic presses. Under his guidance, the company installed more than 1,500 machines globally while introducing innovations that transformed the industry landscape.

Always seeking new challenges, François embarked on a bold new venture in 2000, founding ETI Converting Equipment. His revolutionary concept—empowering label converters to produce their own pressure-sensitive labelstock—challenged industry conventions and created new possibilities for manufacturers worldwide.

            Leadership and Legacy

He led the company with determination, building strong relationships and staying closely connected to the people who helped bring that vision to life. Even after stepping away from day-to-day operations, he remained invested in the company, continuing to follow its progress with pride. His enthusiasm for the company's mission never faded.

In recent years, leadership of the company transitioned to his son, Maxime Bayzelon, who now serves as president and majority shareholder. Under Maxime's leadership, François's legacy of innovation, independence, and genuine human connection lives on. Those fortunate enough to have known him will forever cherish his memory.
