ETI, Henkel, and Evonik Join Forces to Help Converters Bring New Label Ideas to Market Faster

The initiative strengthens the Technology Center’s ability to accelerate innovation across the label industry.

February 2026 - ETI is proud to announce new partnerships within its Technology Center program. The company is joining forces with Henkel, recognized worldwide for its adhesive technologies, and Evonik, a leader in silicone chemistry. These collaborations support ETI’s long-term objective of enabling faster, more reliable innovation across the label industry.

ETI’s Technology Center is designed to be a hands-on environment where converters, material suppliers, and brand owners can evaluate materials, trial constructions, and validate concepts with full technical support from ETI’s engineering and process specialists. By integrating the expertise of Henkel and Evonik, the Center becomes a space where material science and production know-how converge in real time.

“Our goal has always been to help the industry test ideas under the same conditions they’ll face on the production floor,” said Maxime Bayzelon, President of ETI Converting Equipment. “By welcoming Henkel and Evonik into our Technology Center, we are reinforcing a collaborative environment where material expertise and manufacturing know-how come together in real production conditions. Customers gain direct access to specialists in adhesives and silicone release systems, allowing them to validate new constructions more efficiently and move projects forward with confidence.”

Located at ETI’s headquarters near Montreal, the Technology Center offers complete capabilities for silicone and adhesive coating, printing, lamination, and die cutting. Trials run on the same equipment found in full-scale manufacturing, so results translate directly to converters’ own production environments.

Henkel and Evonik bring their respective expertise in adhesion and silicone release to the Technology Center, making it an even richer hub for collaboration. The result is an incomparable experience focused on exploring unique material combinations, assessing performance, and refining production approaches.

“Expanding our capabilities through ETI marks a major step forward in how we support customers in their development. We’re genuinely excited about this partnership because it allows us to offer access to double‑siding, advanced printing options, and other innovations customers want to test before making capital investments. By giving them a broader, more flexible environment to explore what’s possible, we’re building on the foundation established through our own Customer Experience Center and strengthening the way we help them innovate with confidence. This collaboration also reflects our continued investment in UV technology and our commitment to supporting the industry’s transition toward more sustainable solutions,” added Chelsey Seevers (Business Development Manager, Specialty Tapes and Labels North America).

“Being part of the Technology Center allows us to work alongside the companies using our silicone technologies every day,” added Chris Ogle, Global Segment Head for Silicone Release Coatings at Evonik. “That direct exchange leads to stronger products and smoother implementation.”

By connecting material expertise with real-world manufacturing capability, ETI’s Technology Center helps the industry move from concept to market-ready product more efficiently. The new partnerships strengthen its position as a place where innovation is driven not by theory, but by practical testing, shared knowledge, and, ultimately, measurable results.
